I’m Back….and had an easy sell.

March 22, 2008

Ok, the Ditty Extreme Home Makeover is completed….finally!  Our house has new wood floors, tv, kitchen stools, curtains, rugs.  I really like the work we did.  Big thanks out to Lee Yutzy for using his time and talents in helping with the wood floors, etc.  I really learn alot from him and appreciate all the help he gives me.

Well, it’s good to be back.   I came back with a bang as well. I got a tip that Best Buy had some Wii’s in stock.  Went to Best Buy and they had about 5 left.  I posted on Ebay this morning and had it sold by 2pm.  I bought for $249 and sold for $330, $81 profit. Not bad for a short turn around. I will continue to look for more.

Total: $295.60. Need to list the docking stations again. Didn’t sell on Craigslist so off to Ebay.

I also thought I had somthing else.  I saw Internal Blu-Ray drives for $71.  I bought 3.  They were shipped but the day they were to be delivered they were sent back to the warehouse.  The company, Antonline.com, said that Amazon wrongly listed it. They offered no help other then to just refund the money. I was bummed as I was going to use one myself for my media pc. Oh well.  Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you don’t

One other note, I received all my rebates back as well.  Good to go so far.

Off to look for my next deal, wish me luck!

Stay with me….

February 13, 2008

Sorry for no posts recently.  We are putting in a hardwood floor at home and has taken alot of my free time away! 🙂  We have two rooms done with one more room and hallway to do.  After that, I will jump back in. Hopefully in a week or so.  I will be going strong here shortly.  Thank you!

Slow deals lately…

January 29, 2008

Haven’t seen any big deals lately.  I thought I had a few but one was a software that I could sell but in order to get the rebate you had to activate the software first. What a nightmare that would have been as the software (Peachtree Accounting Pro) was $140.  Ouch, that would have been very bad!

 Anyhow, I’m still looking…….

Whoa, may have a big hitter here ($300+ profit). SanDisk 4GB Cruzer Micro USB 2.0 Flash Drive for $5.99

January 22, 2008

Ok, Buy.com has the SanDisk 4GB Cruzer Micro USB 2.0 Flash Drive for $5.99.  These are going for around $25 on ebay.  I was debating on how many to purchase.  This was a tough decision for me. I didn’t want to get too many where it would be very time consuming to get rid of them.  I don’t want to be stuck with a bunch of one thing and then not be able to get rid of them.  I opted for 20 of them.  This could get profits of $300 ($15 profit * 20 = $300).  I’m not going to subtract costs until I see that this has been shipped. It may be a price mistake. I heard to pay with paypal as they can’t charge back to my credit card the real cost if that is the case. I heard some stores do that – charge the true price and not the price mistake. That seems shady to me but it happens.  Paypal does not allow the charge back so I’m just protecting myself.  Well, let’s hope this works.  It would be nice to be up to $600 after one month!

Purchase – Windows Live Care 2.0

January 22, 2008

Here is a no risk purchase but not a big money maker.  I purchased Windows Live OneCare 2.0 for $28.99 but has a $30 rebate. So, I make $1 right off the bat plus it had free shipping.  This is going from $15-$20 on ebay so I should be able to sell this easily (ouch, now that I said that I probably won’t be able to sell it!).

Just missed out.

January 20, 2008

I just missed out on a great deal at Staples. They had a clearance item on a Backpack that holds a laptop.  It was a Targus brand (which I already have and love).  They are normally $39.99 but they had them on clearance  for $3.95.  I called around and one store said that Westside store here in Columbus had 4 of them so I made a beeline to that store.  Once I got there the guy looked it up and stated he did not have any.  It was the Athens store that had 4 which was 2 hours away. Oh well.  Good news if you are in the Athens, Ohio area.  Look up UPC# 092636225025.  They had 4 left as of Sunday.

Selling IBM Docking Stations

January 19, 2008

Finding out that Craiglisters ALWAYS ask to reduce price so in order to sell I bump up the price.  Here are my listings.

Craigslist IBM Docking Station

EBAY IBM Docking Station

Total: $213.59. Estimated total after selling $333.59

January 18, 2008

Finally received payment for the DVD sale.

That brings my total up to $213.59.  All I have out to sell right now are 4 IBM Docking stations which just came today.  My estimate after selling these is $333.59.  I hope to net $30 a piece out of these.

Sold: 2GB SD Card for $16.95

January 17, 2008

Sold the 2GB SD card and made a quick $10.  Not alot but it adds up and I didn’t have alot of risk in it.  Too bad I couldn’t have done this in bulk due. The one time Google checkout deal limited me.
